Favorite Painting: The best painting I've ever seen was this one at the Whitney Museum in NYC. It was gigantic, consisted of a thick layer of varying depths of crushed coal. As you walked around it, it sparkled and glowed like a million little stars. I began to think about dimension and the concept of a 2-D "painting" differently from that day forward. Also, when I saw Jay De Feo's "The Rose," I had a religious experience. And anything by master painter Maxfield Parrish makes me want to cry.
Favorite Contemporary Painters: Jenny Seville, Damien Loeb, Judy Pfaff
Favorite Places to Visit: Indonesia, my mom's house, and random swingsets around town...see how high i can get and still land the dismount.
Favorite Music: Blind Melon, Ray Charles, Mstrkrft
Passions: Insects, travel, Scotch, yoga, dancing, writing, and cheeseburgers.
Goals: Militant Humility
Inspirations: DNA....there is nothing more amazing and fundamental than that.
